Form 4 had a great day at the end of the last half term when Donald from Wildside Nature came in to help us learn all about the wildlife and environments of Scotland and China. We are currently studying these two countries in Humanities lessons and it was great to have some first-hand, practical experiences from an expert! There we lots of activities throughout the day but particular highlights were the bamboo race and building beaver dams. We had studied the living conditions and environments of both of these animals in the morning sessions and getting outside to do some activities was brilliant. Not only that, we managed to cope with near gale force winds! It was great to be able to welcome Donald back to school as his sessions are always informative, relevant to the curriculum and great fun.
