With the days starting to lengthen and the weather improving, it was lovely to, once again, be out in the Pentlands with six of Form 7 children who were working towards their Bronze NNAS Navigator's Award. This included two days of walking, building up a repertoire of skills to be used when out enjoying the outdoors. During the weekend, the children learnt about contours, various methods of estimating distance travelled, and how to orientate the map using both features on the ground, and a compass. Well done to all those who took part.
