It was sunny but cold on Cargilfield’s Gillespie pitch. Our two U9 Girls’ hockey team, the Cheetahs and Lions, were ready to play Belhaven’s Blue and Red teams.

The Cheetahs, Beatrice (C), Florence, Helena, Jemima, Glory and Livia, worked really well together in both of their games and dominated play. There was some fantastic passing. Collectively, they scored a total of 17 goals to Belhaven’s 1.

Similarly, The Lions; Alice (C), Clara, Isla M, Zinnia, Praise and Alexandra were triumphant in both of their games. The girls were calling each other’s names and the combined score of their two matches was 14-3.
