U10 Rugby lost to Loretto

Well played, boys!

Under-10 Rugby v Loretto

12-4 loss

The Under-10 rugby team welcomed Loretto on Wednesday for a great opportunity to play some touch rugby.

The visitors quickly demonstrated their pace very early in the match, dancing their way through the Cargilfield defence to score their first of a good many tries. This was soon followed up by another try, which again exhibited some fantastic speed by the Loretto line. The hosts fought back well to engineer a try of their own but their work was cut out for them in defence as the opposition were able to change direction very nimbly as they ran up the pitch. It was a comfortable 7 tries to 2 at the half-time break.

The Cargilfield boys were not disheartened though and continued to battle their way forward in attack and work harder in defence to end the match stronger than they had begun it, and whilst the score line was still heavily in Loretto’s favour, the second half was slightly better for Cargilfield than the first half had been. The final score was 12-4 to Loretto.

Despite the loss, the boys’ attitude was fantastic and their never-give-up approach was certainly commendable. Well done, boys!
