Lots of tries from the U9 rugby teams!

Tries and tackles and smiles!

We played two mixed teams against our friends from Mussleburgh and all boys involved learnt a lot about rugby and showed encouraging signs of improvement. The boys all had a chance to run with the ball and I was impressed with the passing on show. Our tackling was very good and we made it hard for the Loretto players to find a way through for a try. In their first game of the season, the children learnt that despite getting a knock that may hurt a bit, you can still carry on and help your team and, soon enough, you forget you were hurt in the first place; not a bad life lesson there either. Overall, I was very pleased to see so much enjoyment and enthusiasm from a skilful bunch of players. Lots to work on but a worthy start to the season, well done.
