U11Bs v Ardvreck and Kilgraston

Girls work hard against A team opposition

U11 B v Kilgraston and Ardvreck

Our first match was against Kilgraston. From the start we seemed pretty evenly matched. Both teams spent a lot of time running after the ball and neither really seemed to use the space on the pitch especially on the wings. This meant that when we had possession there was often no one to pass to. In the later part of the match there was a lot of action around our D forcing our defenders to work hard. As we had a large team today we were able to rotate our players when they got tired.
Final score Nil all
Our section match was against Ardvreck and we were immediately on the attack. Lyla was excellent in moving the ball up and Annika had 3 very good shots at goal. However, it was not our day and we failed to score. At the other end of the pitch Ardvreck were using the space to keep us on the run and always had a player placed to convert a pass into a goal.
Final score Ardvreck 2, Cargilfield 0
