On Thursday 18th March our Percussion teacher, Mr Colin Hyson, gave a series of Samba Workshops to children from P3 to Form 7 introducing this vibrant Brazilian style of ensemble playing. It was lovely to see the children immerse themselves whole-heartedly in the experience of trying something new and playing together and it was quite remarkable what focus they brought to their playing. In just one hour, each year-group put together and recorded a video performance to share with parents at home and we had a lot of fun along the way. Well done to everyone involved!
