Heart and Lungs dissection!

Heart and Lungs dissection!

Lots of fun in Science

As part of their Science unit on respiration and breathing, Form 7 had a go at dissecting some lungs. They particularly enjoyed feeling the different types of tissue making up the lungs and some were surprised that the lungs weren't hollow!

We also had a look at the structure of the heart and discussed why it was important that the heart had two separate sides.

Lots of great questions too, and it was terrific to see all the children so engaged in their learning.
