After half the squad travelled to Loretto last week, the rest of the boys who were fit and healthy took their turn to travel there this week. The boys were split into two 5-man teams; the first team were able to successfully control the ball and managed to create a good number of opportunities to score. Arlo was particularly hungry for the ball and his interference in the opposition’s half of the pitch directly lead to a few goals and a win in the end. The other team had a tougher time of it but they battled hard throughout their match to ensure that they created chances. Honour, who was playing on the wing for the first time, stood out in this game with some great tackling and incisive attacking play.
Unfortunately, they narrowly lost the match in the end. It was pleasing to see that our passing is improving and the boys are making more use of the wings.
All of the boys played well and should be proud of their efforts. Most importantly, they showed good sportsmanship on the day.
