U11A Rugby beat Fettes

An impressive team performance!

We started this mathc playing some powerful rugby, aggressive in the tackle and dominant in the ruck. With these tactics, we managed to gain the upper hand in the match and scored some good tries. Some notable strong running from Caspian and Jamie, gave the team a lot of forward momentum. We aimed to play some well-structured rugby, however, setting up rucks correctly and looking to pass the ball along the line to attack on the other flank. It was great to see Theo score his first try of the season with a super run down the wing. He also pulled off a try-saving tackle. Oliver was always looking for the ball on the park and kept a good alignment; he was furious when it came to his turn to sub! James had his best performance of the season so far, putting the Fettes boys under constant pressure with good line speed and solid tackling. All the boys contributed well to a great team effort. It was encouraging to see the boys beginning to gel as a team. Well played, boys.
