An outstanding team effort, boys!

Having returned from Yorkshire last Monday, and then two wet afternoons of no games, the boys were, in fact, chomping at the bit and even though we were missing scrum half and fly half, others stepped up and it was a very complete all round performance up in Perthshire.  We talked about moving the ball out wide, quick rucks and being clinical in the red zone which would prepare us for the visit of Aysgarth tomorrow afternoon.  Right from the start, we looked after the ball really well at the breakdown, tackling well, looking for the tip offs and clearing out fast to produce good ball for Ewan who stepped up to scrum half today.  In fact, he took some really good options, going blind to score at the ruck and his cover tackling was outstanding too; Conrad directed operations really well at 12, putting Rafa away in to space and communicating well in James who played 10 today with the skipper off ill.  Up front, we dominated, with George doing all the unseen work, Harry running some really good lines and our tackling was outstanding with Xander and Thabo to the fore.  In the end, we ran in 13 tries and I was really pleased with how we performed as a team unit once again: everyone supporting each other and encouraging each other and playing really unselfishly which is what is needed tomorrow.

I cannot wait to see how we rise to the occasion when we welcome Aysgarth to Cargilfield: it is always a real highlight of the term and tomorrow will be no different.  Let's be clinical, take our chances and the result will take car of itself.

Well played, boys!
