Come join us for the Cargilfield Chapel Talks event, 'Arch to Arctic,' by Poldy van Lynden.

Date: 20th November

Time: 4:30pm

Location: Cargilfield School, 45 Gamekeeper's Road, Edinburgh EH4 6HU

In June 2018, former pupil Poldy van Lynden and his friend Robert McArthur set off from London’s Marble Arch on a world-first expedition. The mission was to get from London to Svalbard, an island in the Arctic, by human power alone. The route involved running three marathons from London to Dover; swimming 21 miles across the English Channel; cycling over 2,000 miles from Calais to Tromso, in Norway; and finally rowing 700 miles across the Arctic Seas to Longyearbyen, on the island of Svalbard. To learn more about Poldy’s epic 5,000-mile adventure, sign up for his talk about his incredible experience here (https://ow.ly/Ji9g50TFvN2)

Tea and coffee will be served in the Salvesen Library from 4 pm.

We look forward to welcoming you.
