Form 6 were lucky enough to be invited to spend the afternoon at Merchiston as part of their STEM Day. We were taken around three activities: Chemistry, Biology and Electronic Circuits. During the Chemistry activity students investigated space and sent a Jellybaby on a rocket into the air. The Biology session was spent examining different living matter under the microscope and bravely holding an albino corn snake. During Electronic Circuits students had the opportunity to solder their own music circuit. Thank you to Merchiston for such a fantastic afternoon of Science!
