Form 5 had a fantastic origami workshop by Martin Quinn from Scottish Folding. The children used their Maths skills and team work, which they have been focusing on in Health and Wellbeing lessons, to create a snake; which marks the year if the snake in Chinese New Year 2025. They each made an individual snake to begin with some easier folds, and blew on it to make it slither around. They then had to carry out some more complex folding to make part of a snake, and join them altogether to make a giant snake. It was a fun, engaging and exciting lesson to say the least! I am sure there will be sounds of rapid and careful folding coming from the Form 5 classrooms!
