P2 getting dizzy in Space!
P2 have been learning about the Earth and its relationship with the Sun and the moon. We found out that the Earth takes 365 days or a YEAR to go round, or ORBIT the Sun. It spins on its axis at the same time, and we found out it takes 24 hours to spin around once. We learnt that the moon takes 29 and a half days or a MONTH to go around the Earth.
P2 had fun physically demonstrating this relationship outside. Someone posed as the Sun throwing out its Solar flares while another held a miniature Earth and another the moon. The moon had to orbit the Earth 12 times as the Earth spun 365 times on its orbit around the Sun. Good counting, P2!
