To celebrate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day, the whole school enjoyed a magnificent picnic lunch outside in the sunshine today! There was war time music, speeches from Winston Churchill, lots of Union Flags and red, white and blue bunting, and a wonderful spread put on by Alan and his catering team. A fitting way for us to commemorate Victory in Europe and also for us to remember the supreme sacrifice so many brave old boys of Cargilfield, as well as so many other men and women, made to ensure our freedom in the face of tyranny.
