U9 girls beat Loretto!

U9 girls beat Loretto!

A terrific performance in the sunshine!

Cargilfield win: 24 Loretto : 11.5

On a glorious sunny afternoon, the girls played 4 innings. Our captain lost the toss so Cargilfield started batting. The girls scored 9 points on the first inning with some big hits. The second time they batted, the girls managed to score 15 points in 20 good balls! They all managed to get at least half a rounder. In the field, the girls did well and Venetia managed to out one Loretto girl by catching the ball before it touched the floor. The girls still need to work on their communication to know to which base throw. I would say Lyla was the player of the match as she kept cheering for her team along, was very positive, polite with Loretto and most of all, scored 3 rounders (2 full rounders for the first time according to her!!). Well done, girls, this was a great match to watch!
