3rd Girls lose to Craigclowan

3rd Girls lose to Craigclowan

A narrow defeat in baltic conditions!

Lost: 2.5 – 4

Despite a windy day the girls enjoyed a good game of rounders against Craiglowan. They started by batting after winning the toss. They played safe by observing the ball while running and none of them got out of the game. However, this technique prevented them from scoring a lot and only Lucy managed to get 2 rounders. The extra half-rounder was due to no balls. During the fielding, they did well in terms of communication but missed many direct catches that could have taken a lot more players out (they did get 5 Craiglowan players out). They will need to work on their catching to stop their opponents from scoring in the future. During the game, Charlotte bowled very efficiently, with Calia being backstop. Clemmie, Francesca and Malayka were on the posts and Evie, Emma, Lottie, Lucie and Sabine were deep field.

Well done, girls.
