U11B Cricket beat Ardvreck

Some sunshine at last!

Won by 20 runs

After the first sunny Wednesday afternoon of the month, the boys were eager to take on Ardvreck. We lost the toss and batted first. I was very pleased with the way we batted; placing our shots, using the pace of the ball to our advantage and communicating well with each other. We ended our innings on 122 runs. In the second innings, I was pleased with our bowling and the many wickets we took. However, the boys need to work on their positions in the field; by not panicking and moving every time the opposition scores runs. This will leave huge gaps in the field. I was also displeased by the negativity of individuals towards others in the team. Encouragement will help the team perform better than putting them down. Ardvreck ended their innings on 102.

Well done, boys!
