1st and 2nd Girls v Belhaven

1st and 2nd Girls v Belhaven

Two tight games of hockey in the sun!

1st Hockey v Belhaven

The 1st girls had a bit of a sluggish game against Belhaven today. We dominated most of the match with a lot of activity in our attacking circles but lacked a bit of structure and composure when on the ball. We won a quite a few short corners and Sophie opened the scoring with a straight strike from the top of the D. Three further goals from Sophie in the first half saw us lead by 4-1 at half time. The second half started with a flurry of short corners but we somehow could not find the back of the goal.  Eventually one went in however perhaps our short corner options need a bit more work this week!  The Belhaven girls upped their game and broke through up the middle of the pitch and scored in the last minute which saw the match finish 5-2.

2nd Hockey v Belhaven

This Wednesday brought a trip down to Belhaven for the 2nd team girls. Possession was very even, with both teams getting good chances. Up front, Clara proved a threat and Katinka used some good skills in midfield to send balls through. Charlotte was a strong force in defence, however despite our best efforts, Belhaven got the final say with the score finishing 5-4 to them. Some positives to take away but plenty to work on for next week.
