U11 Rugby beat Belhaven

U11 Rugby beat Belhaven

Some great rugby on show

Won 7-4

The U11 squad enjoyed a competitive and spirited match against our friends in Dunbar today. There was some excellent rugby on show from both teams and it was great to see so many young boys out enjoying the sport. We had been talking about starting strongly and so we ran hard at the Belhaven defence from the first tap and pass – and promptly lost the ball! We defended well, though, and looked more comfortable in defence with players keeping their shape and stepping up together. Some excellent tackle technique on show particularly from Thomas, Charlie and Otis. In attack, we put a lot of pressure on with powerful runs from Chay, James, Alexander and Maximilian. Some committed defence from Belhaven kept us out a number of times, held up over the line and forcing a little knock on. The tries came eventually, though, and I was pleased to see the boys passing nicely and linking well.

Well played boys.
