U12 Girls beat MES

U12 Girls beat MES

A super performance!

The U12’s waited patiently today to get on the pitch for a 3pm start.  The play was very even all through the game and it was great to see the girls work so hard.  Mary Erskine were very unlucky not to score and our defence of Valentina, Cicely and Issy B were tested throughout the match; their skill and communication was great to see and they really were the hero’s today.  Poppy played well up front, hitting some great hard balls towards the MES keeper, and she was rewarded with a goal in the first half.  The goal settled us a bit and gave us a bit more confidence on the ball.  Our passing was good today and we looked to move the ball up the pitch well, playing it wide and with good power.  Josephine stood out in midfield, and made tackle after tackle, and it was also great to see her link so well with Matilda and Poppy up front.  Georgia snuck a goal in the second half to see us pull away to 2-0, and Matilda showed good stick skills before bringing the ball in and scoring our 3rd.

Final Score: Cargilfield 3 Mary Erskine 0
