U12s beat George Watson's

A wonderful game of rugby!

The under 12 A squad took to the pitch on a chilly afternoon looking forward to an exciting tussle with George Watson’s School. Watson’s won the toss and chose to receive and then the game started at an incredible speed. Both teams competed well but Watson’s had the advantage in the early minutes and as a result scored the first two tries. Cargilfiled fought back due to some great work from forwards, Joshua, Hugo and Albie making the half time score 3 tries to 1 in Watson’s favour. In the second half the game became even more intense with no quarter given. Both teams passed the ball with great skill and tackled with even greater determination. Cargilfield matched the aggression of Watson’s due to some superb work by the forwards and some great support from Ollie, Luca and Murray in midfield and slowly crept back in to the game. Rory scored a crucial individual try to bring the scores level at 5-5 and then with just two minutes to go Glen broke through the defence and to the dismay of the Watson’s team surged over the line to claim the winning try. Well done to both teams on what was a very exciting, hard fought game.
