U13 Netball v Ardvreck

The team: Bea, Lexie, Rowan, Tessa, Julia, Nadia, Beatrice DH, Isla C, Valentina and Anne.

A home match on Harper Gow in the sunshine. The game started off slow with the girls trying to work as a team. Both teams had a lot of calls for distance, contact and footwork being blown. There were some very nice passes and moving in attacking with Nadia, Emilia and Julia working well as a team but struggled to get the shots in with Ardvreck rebounding the ball well. In the first quarter only 1 goal was scored by Cargilfield with Ardvreck taking the lead with 2.

The girls in the second quarter were communicating better. They ended up using a lot of long passes that were not always accurate and were intercepted but the girls worked hard to try and snatch the ball back and gain possession. At the end of the quarter the girls had scored another 4 points with Ardvreack scoring 1.

In the third quarter Ardvreck were on fire and scored 5 points one after the other. Cargilfield didn’t give up and in the final quarter the team scored 4 more goals. The game finished 8-8 and was a very fair reflection of two very similar ability teams.

Player of the match was Emilia DH for her very solid catching, passing and moving into a space. Well done!
