U9 Lions Netball v Loretto

Win 10 – 3

It was a strong first quarter from the Lions, with Georgia and Emilie being our shooters. Emilie scored first, shortly followed by two more from Georgia. Agus and Eleora were strong defenders and ensured that no goals were scored by Loretto.

The second quarter was equally feisty, with Thandie dominating the scoring; three goals in six minutes! Georgia and Imaan worked well together but the rotation in Loretto’s team meant they also had a couple of strong shooters; they managed to score two.

Agus and Anastasia became our shooters for the third quarter, and with Eleora as centre, we had some fantastic passing. Emilie and Izzy put their giggling to one side and worked well together as a team, intercepting any balls before Loretto got a chance. We scored two more, giving further confidence to our team.

The final quarter continued much like the previous three; with Cargilfield finding spaces and managing to outwit Loretto. Although the latter managed to score one, both Imaan and Eleora also scored, making the final result a win of 10 goals to 3. It was a super match, with a special mention from the Loretto coach of how well our girls marked their opponents; well done, Lions!
