What a lovely day to have for the start of the season. The girls were so excited to be able to have matches and were itching to get onto that hockey pitch. We always like to start off with a bang and the girls did just that. We came out with a high press, winning the ball in dangerous areas and capitalising on mistakes. Our strikers were ruthless in front of goal hitting the back of the net regularly. It was a hot day so we rotated our team constantly, but even when the girls played in a position that they aren’t used to they adapted quickly. It was a great team performance by the girls and was fantastic to start the season with a win. Well done girls.
