The U11Bs turned up for their first match against Loretto U11As and U11Bs with great enthusiasm. The girls were quick to warm up and the match began with Loretto U11As taking the first centre pass. A flurry of passes from the Loretto girls meant that they controlled possession for start of the match and soon they were three goals ahead. Nonetheless, a focused spell of competitive netball meant that the girls were able to get themselves on the scoreboard. Sadly, the Loretto U11As were able to persist in their attack over the next quarter and the first match finished 9-3.

This initial loss did not damper the spirits of U11Bs and they started their second match with a fresh mindset. Their determination to not fall behind again saw them score two goals in quick succession and prevent Loretto from scoring. However, the success of this quarter meant that the Loretto girls stepped up for the final quarter of the afternoon. After long phases of spirited play, both teams score to finish the match 3-1.
