U9 Cricket v Strathallan
Scores not counted
On a warm, muggy afternoon, Strathallan came up with 12 U9 children to play cricket. We supplemented their ranks with some Cargilfield players so we could enjoy two games of 10 a-side each.
The children showed they are improving a lot in their understanding of the game and how to master some awkward body movements. The bowling particularly was better than last week from all the children. When batting, we looked to hit hard and the calling between wickets was loud and clear. Everyone played well but a quick mention to some stand-out performances. Arran had a strong all-round performance, especially some excellent fielding. Teddy, batted with accuracy and could hit the ball far. Mo’s bowling was looking very good. Kirsty and Zanna both hit the ball very well, landing some powerful shots. As I say, though, everybody played well and showed good improvement. Keep up the hard work in games each day, boys and girls!
