First Game: Cargilfield vs. ESMS

The girls won the toss and chose to field first, with Agus opening the bowling. Their bowling was fantastic, displaying a high level of competence. However, some hesitation in fielding allowed a few balls to slip through. When it was our turn to bat, the pairs were Agus and Thandie, Alice and Zinnia, and Clara and Isabella. This line up worked well, seizing bases and taking every opportunity. The game concluded with a +6 win for Cargilfield!

Second Game: Cargilfield vs. Burrelton

The girls continued their excellent performance, replicating their success from the first game and achieving an impressive win with a score of +51.

Third Game: Cargilfield vs. Glasgow Academy

The game started slowly with Cargilfield batting first. Glasgow Academy were strong fielders scoring two wickets, Cargilfield lost on runs, making it another close and exciting game.

Semi-Finals: Cargilfield vs. Watsons

Throughout the day, the girls gelled beautifully as a team. Their teamwork paid off in a closely contested game, with Cargilfield emerging victorious and advancing to the finals. The team was thrilled and eager for the next challenge.

Finals: Cargilfield vs. Glasgow Academy

Motivated by the promise of a McFlurry for a catch, the girls entered the final with high spirits against the one team that had previously beaten them. Starting in the field, Thandie made the first catch of the day, followed quickly by Agus and then Zinnia. Their incredible fielding reduced Glasgow Academy to -35 with 7 wickets, an astonishing start to the final!

When it was their turn to bat, the team maintained the same order, confident from their strong lead. They executed their batting roles flawlessly, stealing bases, hitting 4’s, and working together seamlessly. This outstanding performance secured a wonderful victory for Cargilfield!
