U12B Hockey v Loretto

The team: Minty, Lily, Helena, Alexandra, Katherine, Georgia, Jed, Rose, Esme and Isobel

After a refreshing summer break, our U12Bs kicked off their hockey season with a match hosted by Loretto. Cargilfield came out strong from the start, with our forward line, Isobel, Jed, Esme, and Alexandria showing excellent teamwork through strong and well-timed passes. This led to some early goals for Cargilfield, giving us a lead that we maintained throughout the game.

Our attacking players was in top form, with Georgia standing out as the named player of the match by Loretto, for her remarkable goal-scoring and impressive tackling. On the defensive end, Helena, Katherine, and Lily formed an unbreakable wall, preventing Loretto from scoring. Even when Loretto managed to break through, our goalkeeper Minty had an impressive game at deflecting all the shots at goal.

Rose also had a great performance, switching between midfield and defensive roles, but this didn’t stop her from helping out the attackers and increasing Cargilfield’s score. All in all, a fantastic opening to the season and impressive game from our girls!
