U12/U11A Rugby v Loretto

With two matches also being played v’s Merchiston at U13 and U12 level, a combination of U12 and U11 players enjoyed a competitive fixture against our friends in Musselburgh. The Loretto boys hosted us superbly and it was great to see a fierce game played in good spirit. There was some admirable rugby being played by both teams as the players looked to keep the ball alive and to attack the spaces out wide. The Loretto players were a bit more aggressive over the ball in the ruck area, and we lost possession a few too many times. However, our tackling and defensive play was generally very good.
