U11A Rugby v Craigclowan
Win 11-6
The U11A rugby team played a fast-paced and entertaining match against Craigclowan in Perth this afternoon. We started passing the ball very nicely back and forth along the line, but lacked incision and forward momentum. This eventually came with some direct and aggressive running from Tommy and Daniel in the midfield. Magnus and Hugo also ran strong lines into the heart of Craigclowan defence and gave the team that necessary forward momentum. We played in positional pods today, which helped to give the team more structure and shape. Ensay and Harry were particularly good in defence making some super text-book style tackles. Nick couldn’t quite find the space he normally does but ran strongly non-the-less. Archer made some excellent early interventions and Arran was our turn-over king today, who managed to steal at least 4 or 5 balls at the ruck. William was joined at half term by Faris and Ethan and these brave F5 boys all tackled well and looked to pass at the right time. All in all, a strong performance from a team that is looking more cohesive and is growing in confidence. Well played, boys.
