Cargilfield began their season with an impressive 5-0 victory over Fettes, delivering a confident and dominant performance. It took some time and after a lot of shots on goal, Arran slotted home the opening goal with precision. Hollynd doubled the lead, finishing off a flowing team move initiated by Evan, whose perfectly weighted assist was a standout moment.

Innes, in goal for Cargilfield, had little to do for much of the match but stepped up brilliantly when called upon, making crucial saves to maintain a clean sheet. Despite the final scoreline, Fettes’ goalkeeper put on an outstanding display, denying several excellent chances and keeping the scoreline respectable.

The second half saw Cargilfield take full control, adding three more goals thanks to the player of the match Jamie who made some fabulous runs down the right wing, helping the team to secure a commanding win. It was an excellent all-round performance that bodes well for the season ahead, showcasing teamwork, skill, and determination.
