U9 Netball mixed team with Fettes
The U9 girls kicked off their netball season with an exciting training game against Fettes. Spirits were high as the girls stepped onto the court for their first match. Split into three mixed teams—Hippos, Elephants and Rhinos—the girls took part in a friendly mini-tournament that combined skill-building with plenty of fun. The matches provided an excellent opportunity to develop the girls’ understanding of the fundamentals of netball, from teamwork and passing to positioning and shooting. The girls demonstrated fantastic sportsmanship, encouraged one another and showcased some great team play. It was lovely to see friendships being built both on and off the court as they socialised and cheered for one another. In the end, the Elephants claimed victory, scoring an impressive 5 goals, while the Hippos secured second place with 2 goals. The Rhinos rounded out the competition with a determined performance, finishing with 1 goal.
A huge well done to all the players for their enthusiasm and effort—it was a wonderful start to the season and everyone left with smiles on their faces and new skills. Here's to more exciting matches ahead!
