U11A Netball v Craigclowan

Won 14-8

In preparation for our second fixture of the term we had been working hard in training on short, straight passes into the D. Our starting line up had Emilie as Captain and WA, Eleora as GS and Isabelle as GA. Emilie worked the wing with support from Esme at Centre and Agus at WD, Jed at GD and Thandie at GK.

Our shooters got to work straight away with an early goal from Eleora. Craigclowan came back very quickly. We were caught napping and they scored, proving that this was going to be a hard-fought match. There was plenty of action round our D and Craigclowan managed 2 more goals. However, our shooters were on fire today and we fought back ending the first quarter one goal ahead.

The second and third quarters were much more positive with the girls working very well as a team and communicating with each other. The shooters did well to avoid a very strong Craigclowan pairing at GD and GK. Georgia came on as Center and Katherine at GK. We ended the third quarter 6 goals ahead.

Cragclowan fought back incredibly hard in the last quarter. They were totally fearless in their attack and played flat out for every ball. This was the lowest scoring quarter with plenty of action in the mid court.
