The U11A team delivered a superb performance against Watson's A team, with the first of three periods showcasing hockey at its finest. Our link-up play was outstanding, and we took a commanding 2-0 lead into the break. The highlight of the half was a brilliant goal—Teddy fired in a pinpoint cross, and Ensay met it with perfection, smashing the ball home. The team's intricate passing and well-timed decision-making were key to our early dominance. At the back, Magnus was rock solid in the first period, and alongside his defensive partner Archer, they were impenetrable—keeping Watson's from even registering a single shot on goal.
Our energy levels dipped slightly in the second period, allowing Watson's to grow into the game. Ethan, however, was outstanding between the posts, making save after save and frustrating the opposition with his incredible shot-stopping ability. After a quick water break and a regroup by the fountain, the boys came roaring back in the final period. Jack linked up beautifully with Teddy on the right, while Hugo controlled the midfield and Ensay continued to be a threat down the wing. Ensay doubled his tally with a deft touch past the keeper from an acute angle, before Teddy was released by Jack for a one-on-one with the goalie—slotting the ball home with ease.
This was a fantastic team performance from start to finish. Well played, boys!
