Cargilfield pupils are regularly represented in many sports at both regional level, for example in “The Saltires”, as well as at national level.

Each year our pupils gain representative honours in Rugby, Hockey, Netball and Rounders. Both boys and girls have also been chosen for regional and National teams and squads.

Cargilfield is proud of its sporting success for girls and boys in all sports. There are games every afternoon for all children, and teams play at all levels every week against other schools, providing opportunities for children to represent the school and play in matches.

Teams have regularly taken part in National Hockey finals and children have been awarded medals in fencing, judo and climbing, both in regional and national competitions.

Netball, Rugby, and Hockey sides travel down to England every year which gives the chance for children to compete in national competitions and play schools not on our circuit.

Children play games every day and all are given the opportunity to play at their level, be that for fun or at a more elite, specialised level.
