Cargilfield is delighted to be named in The Cricketer’s School Guide for 2023 as one of the UK’s best schools for cricket, and is the only Prep School in Scotland listed in the top 50 prep schools in the UK.  It is testament to the hard work of all our cricketing staff, the year round coaching on offer and our developing girls' programme.

This year’s guide features the top 100 senior, top 50 prep/junior and top 20 all-girls schools for cricket in a bumper 156-page supplement.

2023’s successful roll call of schools – which features both state-funded and private establishments – was finalised after an exhaustive selection process that saw a huge number submit entries for inclusion in the guide.

All entries were judged against an extensive set of criteria, which included a compelling commitment to cricket in the curriculum, facilities, fixture programmes and coaching.

The 2023 Schools Guide is included alongside the December issue of The Cricketer magazine (available on the newsstand from Friday, November 18^th) - the world’s No.1 cricket magazine. The guide will also be made available digitally on thecricketer.com from Friday, December 9^th.
