This morning PC Gillian Young came to talk to the Form 4s about how the police can keep us safe. She gave examples of when we might need the police's help and what to do in an emergency. She showed us all the various gadgets that she carries with her to keep herself safe, including a baton, walkie talkie, handcuffs and a form of pepper spray. The children could then try on the high vis jackets, police hats and handcuffs to see what they look like. The best bit (I'm sure) was going out to see the police car and being able to press the buttons to turn on the blue flashing lights before hearing just how loud the siren is!
